Sometimes when you’re surrounded by dirt, CJ, you’re a better witness for what’s beautiful.""
CJ begins his weekly bus journey around the city with disappointment and dissatisfaction, wondering why he and his family can’t drive a car like his friends. Through energy and encouragement, CJ’s nana helps him see the beauty and fun in their routine.
This beautifully illustrated, emotive picture book explores urban life with honesty, interest and gratitude.
Last Stop on Market Street has won multiple awards and spent time at the number one spot in the New York Times Bestseller List.

Sometimes you want adventure and to be taken somewhere wild and new, and sometimes you want the world we recognise to be made magical. That's what this is. Lovely.
I did not enjoy the book because it was about a little boy asking so many questions like ‘ why do we have to wait in rain just because a bus is coming ‘ and ‘why don’t we have a car’ so I did not get to the point of the story. I would not recommend this book to anyone because it is so bad
Ok
I would recommend this book to others because this book is really funny. My favourite character was Mr. Dennis and he pulled a coin out of a little boy's ear.
Truly beautiful with simple yet profound descriptions of life. Transcends age so could easily be the focus of older guided reading. Very inspiring.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The pictures are rich and detailed and the diverse range of characters that they encounter on the the trip makes it an engaging read which I am sure will appeal to a wide variety of young readers.
Its about a mum and child who went to lots of shops.
My favorite character is mum.
I have wanted to read this book for a while, and I’m glad I have now read it! The characters of CJ and Nana are great and I love their bus ride. The illustrations are excellent, and I know the children will love this in assembly.
CJ is the person I like best. It's also magical and dreamy.
I like when the boy was on the bus
I liked guessing where the boy was going
Enjoyed this book a lot. Learned about what a soup kitchen was and volunteering.
It's so so so so cool.
