Owen Smith is worried about his dad. It’s been a year since they lost Owen’s mum, and Owen can see that his dad isn’t coping with the grief that has engulfed them both. But Owen’s dad is a writer, so when Owen suggests beginning another novel, he hopes it will help him.
Then, something crazy happens. Owen wakes up in a strange world beyond his own, where a raging storm called the Darkness threatens to obliterate everyone and everything in its path.
And soon Owen realises the startling truth: he is inside his dad’s story. And as the main character, only he can help his dad battle the storm and reach the end of the book…
A page-turning action-adventure full of emotional heart, STORMWALKER is a must-read for young readers.

My favourite character was iris because even though it sounds weird that her best friend is 2 people she takes in in her stride and she loves trying to find out about the objects she finds and what they are for.
This book had a very happy ending
A great adventure story with an engaging main character. The pace of the book is good and it keeps the reader engrossed.
You should read this book beacause it is a real page turner and a good story. More aimed at older readers(9+). More thriller/and fantasy.
Best book I've ever read! EVER!
This is a complex book about a boy called Owen Smith. His dad is suffering because of the depression of losing his wife- Owen's mum- a year ago. So Owen takes his dad to see a counselor so his dad starts writing once more. But then something dreadful happens. Owen finds himself in a frightening world called Darkness and all he knows is that he has to save the city if he wants to see his dad again.
I would recommend this story to ages 9+ as it has scary, life-relating chapters.
You should read this book as it is very gripping and an enjoyable read for those who would like to be excited by this wonderful story.
