3.5 stars for this. I love Benjamin Myers writing but found this one quite gruesome and very disturbing to read. At times it was so depraved I had to look away and stop reading for a bit. It's a crime thriller with nasty things happening to women and children and as there's a thinly disguised Jimmy Saville/Stuart Hall character in there you can guess what kind of nasty things. That detective is damn persistent though....
