VOWS – VENGEANCE – VOLDEMORT
Seven magical stories, one epic adventure.
Praise for the Harry Potter books:
‘That rare thing, a series of stories adored by parents and children alike.’ – Daily Telegraph
‘A phenomenon … Grown men in suits have been spotted with them on trains. Parents squabble over who gets to read them to the kids, and teachers say a chapter can silence the most rowdy of classes.’ – Guardian
‘One of the greatest literary adventures of modern times.’ – Sunday Telegraph
‘Spellbinding, enchanting, bewitching stuff.’ – Mirror
‘The only thing wrong with it is that you can’t put it down.’ – Fiona Chadwick, 9 years old
‘It is very funny. I would love to be Harry and make up some magic spell to play on my teachers.’ – Tom El-Shawk, 11 years old
‘My mum loved it so much she would not let my dad read any of it to me.’ – Alexander Benn, 7 and 9¼ years old
‘It’s for all ages and it’s brilliant.’ – Katrina Farrant, 10 years old

✨ Summary
- The Final Journey: Harry, Ron, and Hermione leave Hogwarts behind to hunt down Voldemort’s Horcruxes, magical objects containing fragments of his soul. Their quest takes them across dangerous landscapes, from forests to Gringotts, with betrayal and bravery at every turn.
- The Deathly Hallows: Along the way, Harry learns of three legendary magical items—the Elder Wand, Resurrection Stone, and Invisibility Cloak—that together make one the “Master of Death.” This legend adds a mythic layer to the story and forces Harry to choose between power and humility.
- Loss and Sacrifice: Beloved characters fall—Mad-Eye Moody, Hedwig, Dobby, Fred Weasley, and more—underscoring the cost of war. The most shocking revelation is Snape’s true loyalty, revealed through his memories, which show his lifelong love for Lily Potter and his secret protection of Harry.
- The Final Battle: The climax unfolds at Hogwarts, where students, teachers, and magical creatures unite against Voldemort. Harry willingly sacrifices himself, only to discover he can return, ultimately defeating Voldemort by mastering not power, but selflessness.
📚 Review
- A Satisfying Conclusion: Critics and fans agree that Deathly Hallows delivers a fitting end to the saga. It balances action with emotional depth, weaving together threads from all six previous books.
- Character Arcs: The novel shines in its completion of arcs—Harry’s acceptance of mortality, Neville’s rise as a hero, and Snape’s redemption. Snape’s storyline, in particular, is often cited as one of Rowling’s greatest achievements.
- Themes: The book explores death, loyalty, and the power of choice. Unlike many fantasy finales, victory comes not from brute force but from compassion, humility, and sacrifice.
- Criticism: Some readers found the pacing uneven, especially during the trio’s long camping sequences. Yet many argue this slower rhythm reflects the uncertainty and exhaustion of war.
- Legacy: With over 4 million ratings averaging above 4.6 stars online, it remains one of the most beloved installments, cementing Harry Potter’s place as a cultural phenomenon.
🌟 Why It Stands Out
Deathly Hallows isn’t just about defeating Voldemort—it’s about growing up, facing mortality, and choosing love over fear. It transforms Harry from “the boy who lived” into “the man who chose,” making the ending resonate far beyond the wizarding world.
Has a lot of danger and is very exciting.
Amazing spellbinding I love harry and hagrid! My favourite professor is dumbledore the thing that fascinated me was all the spells and battles the battle of hogwarts was awesome
My favorite character is Dobby or Hagrid.
This book intrested me because Harry, Ron and Hermione used polyjuice potion to infiltrate the ministry of magic. I reccomend this for people who like battles and warfare.

This one is one of my absolute favourite the best ones . This is because harry potter is the only challenger who had survived the death cures of avadacadavra sent by voldermort twice
It was so cool that harry tricked the dark wizard voldemort to think he was dead so then he could suprize attack him but i feel bad for hagrid because he was crying alot- also i feel bad for prof.McGonnagals voice since i bet in the story she screamed so loud
Another amazing book! Why did it have to end.
When Harry Potter and his friends Ron Weasly and Hermine Granger set out to destroy the Horcruxes, their fate is dommed. Can they sustain their way through, and will Harry Potter understand why he Exists?
I recommend this book to over 9s and to people who love magic! It was amazing to read! A real Thriller!
This is amazing , it explains a lot about Buddhism as well. Wonder whether JK Rowling had read Buddhist teachings.
In this, Harry, Ron and Hermione hunt for all the horcruxes, destroy them, then at the end they win a battle at Hogwarts, and Harry sacrifices himself to save everyone.
