Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

This was a really fun book to read! I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes magic and is 9-13 years old. I especially enjoyed peeves and found him especially funny I find he makes any scary or tense moment he’s in much less heart beet inducing. Ultimately a really nice, fun and adventurous book! The only thing I would critique would be the lack of description on any outdoor areas. But overall a really good book. :)

Brilliant amazing story

Magical, fantasy- its truly brilliant!!!

It was exciting, but needs a bit more exploration around the outside of the grounds.

I enjoyed reading this book because i like magic and Harry became a wizard. At first he lived under the stairs in the cupboard and Hagrid saved him by taking him to Hogwarts. My favourite parts of the book is where they fly on broomsticks. I liked Fluffy the three headed dog. I would recommend this book for strong readers and 9-12 years old.

Harry Potter was the best. I enjoyed reading this book and will start the next one. My favourite part was how he went in to learning magic

I loved Harry Potter

I absolutely loved this book ! Its sets the scene of the series perfectly . The story is about how Harry Potter is raised by the horrid Dursleys and is tortured and horribly treated by them ( especially Dudley ) Then, he gets the news that he is actually a wizard like his parents and can go to Hogwarts , the best school in town for witchcraft and wizardry . This was hidden by his aunt and uncle for a long time and he is delighted ! Then it tells us about how Harry copes in Hogwarts , with his awesome friends and breathtaking adventures . My favourite character is Percy Weasly as he was formal , kind and hardworking . Would really recommend it .

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was a really amazing book. It told you about Harry's first year at hogwarts and how he met Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. He finds out that he is a wizard in training. He lives with his aunt and uncle Dursley and his cousin Dudley who were very rude to Harry ever since his parents had died because of Voldermort (he - who - must - not - be - named). Harry also has a scar on his head which burns if there is danger coming

Great introduction to the Harry Potter series. I am sure that at the time of writing this book, the author did not know just how popular the series would become. I do still remember reading it for the first time, becoming engrossed in the world of Hogwarts. That fascination has never left me! I read the books again and again.

Harry and Voldemort were my favourite characters.

My favourite character was Hagrid. I would recommend this book.
