The Bolds

This book was just a great book with a fun story and set of characters. It's suspenceful when the plot kicks in about Mr.Mcnumpty Miranda and Tony are great along with the other hyenas at the driveby zoo thing. I recommend this to any readers age 8 and above to appreciate the humour.

Very good book. I found it funny and I couldn't put the book down. I liked every single character. For this book, I liked it when Tony came to live with the Bolds too.
I would recommend this book to anyone.

They are hiyenas!

What a fabulous series of books Julian has produced here, they have had my 9yr old and me giggling away.
Can you imagine animals passing them selves off as humans.. well in this book a pair of hyenas do just that.
Full of humour and family adventures.
I will be adding this to my class library for sure

I really liked this as the Mr. bold was so funny with his jokes and I got to
know about there secret. The characters fit into the story too.

I loved it because the hyena dad Fred told lots of funny jokes and mr mcnumpty turned out to be a bear

The person I like is the little childrens. It fun though a bit boring but i still like it i recommend it to someone is that likes funy things

Such a funny book!

This book was really funny and interesting. It is about a family of heyanas that are so smart that they've learnt English and taken place of a woman. Later in the book, they find out about an old heyana that the zoo wants to put to sleep. So they make a plane but Mr MC numpty is watching.

This book was funny following them exploring places and it has good illustrations

I loved Mr. Bold because of his jokes.
The Bolds were very clever Hyena People. Their kindness was also lovely.

Not my favourite book

It is a really, really, really good book. I especially liked the part when Mr. McNumpty reveals his identity. I like how the daring Bolds manage to rescue Tony and the trick with Minnie's dad's bones and how the keepers thought Tony's family had become traitors to him.

Interesting because they rescued Tony and because they are hyenas.

Funny -great story

This book introduces you to The Bold Family (a family of hyenas) pretending to be humans.

It is hilarious and very funny. Additionally, there are loads of jokes to tell your family and friends.

They get up to lots of mischief. I can't wait to read the next Bolds books.

This is a really funny book! It is about a family of hyenas who live lives like us but with funny consequences.

I found the bolds super funny and creative. My favourite character is Mr bold because he never fails to make anyone laugh. It only took me two days to read.

I really enjoyed this book as it was about a family of hyenas who lived as humans. It was quite funny as Mr. Bold said many many jokes throughout the book. I especially liked when their grumpy neighbour revealed himself to be a polar bear.

I would recommend it to my best friend, because it was funny. The reason it was really funny was because it had quite a lot of good characters although there was a bad character at the start. At the end the bad character, Mr McNumpty, actually turned out to be good after the Bolds rescued him from some gangsters. My favourite character was Bobby, the reason Bobby was such a good character was because he helped to save Mr McNupmty.

I love it because they are all funny and next door was a wild animal
