Black Beauty

One of my favourite all-time classics: it was interesting to re-read as an adult and to consider the social history, as well as changing times.

It was emotional thus making us interested. It explains how people can be cruel to horses and some other and how there losses feel. It all also say how some kindhearted people help them and that they can even be babies who help.

I liked all of the kind, the people who turned into one and the main character herself.

I recommend it because it shows you how to be kind to to animals, why to be kind to them and I would like to say that no matter where you come from or how old you are that you can always read this miraculous book and learn what being kind actually means.

i liked the main character Black beauty because of all the experience of the horses' stables at that time (the 1850s) but it did include deaths so not too happy, alas, not too sad. Who likes horses can enjoy this book.

An ideal classic. Challenging vocabulary (great for progressing your reading age and understanding of words)

Good book a bit sad but has a happy ending

This book is absolutely brilliant. It is happy but will have you on the verge of tears as you dive into a world of cruelty and hardship with a dash of joy and happiness.

I enjoy reading books about animals,especially horses.

My Grandad gave me this book and I liked it because I like horses and this book is about a horse.

I liked this book but i didn't love it as it was quite hard to read with lots of sad bits.

It is like a classic story made up years ago. The author used some good words and expressions.

In this book a beautiful black horse with a white star on his forehead goes on a amazing adventure having happy times with good owners a faces bad ones with others.

I think you should read this book because it is a very old fashioned written style of writing. It is a very emotional story about the life of a horse and his friends. I found it very sad at times but it does end well.

I really like this book and I think you will like it too. Everyone who reads this will feel sorry for Beauty, and especially Ginger, but all together a great read, and very expressive. With this book you never know what's going to happen next, around every bend and turn of the path, a horse will run wild, a young lad will be cruelly whipping a horse or even drunk men riding a horse-shoeless horse. This book is heart-warming and lovely to read.

I absolutely loved this book the first time I read it so I read it again for the summer reading challenge as an audio book. It is really good to read a book from the perspective of horse rather than a human. I hope you enjoy it!
