This book deals with death and family relationships. It's popular with my Y4 class.
This book was a bit sad, but it was about a girl who lost her cat. She tried to make her a cat mummy to preserve her body, so she doesn't have to stay underground, but it has a bittersweet ending
A good book.
Verity's cat mabel has died and Verity preserved mabel like the ancient Egyptians. I would give this book to kendal because she loves cats.
This book was nice at the beginning but sad when mabel died, I did enjoy it though
It was sad I cried
I thought it was a cat book which is fiction
I love cats
I loved the part Mabel the cat was with the girl but felt sad when the cat died.
It was really fun and great
This book was a little bit sad at some points but I still enjoyed reading it
This book was'nt bad it was jut a bit too short to me and pretty straightforward.
I liked this book but it also made me feel abit sad
Good book

Boring story.
It’s such a sad but great Book
I love Jacqueline Wilson books. They are sad but they help kids understand things better. In this book a girls cat died and she tried to mummify him! It’s perfect for those experienced a pet dying.
It was another sad book but this time, a girls cat died. She tried to mummify him!
It was a goos book but i would change the part when she scream sat her cat because it is very sad and her cat dies after that.i like the cat because she is very fluffy and nice.I would recommend it because ow we will learn to like our pets more.
I didn't really like it when the cat died but at the end it was really nice because she got a new kitten. My favourite character was Verity because she's really kind. I would recommend this book!
This was quite a sad story because the cat died and it was Verity's only pet and she loved her cat so much. I would definitely recommend it though. My favourite character is Verity because she is kind and has lots of friends.
I didn't like this book much. It gave me the creeps when Verity found her cat, Mabel, dead. The author described every part: that Mabel was starting to feel weird and smell bad and that she was stiff. I t horrified me when Verity mummified Mabel because I knew how it was going to end. I would not recommend this book.
I liked it because it was about cats and cats are my favourite animals. It was good because it was about history as well.
Ok. Its alright but a bit weird. I liked all her friends.maybe.
It was quite sad but its weird that at the end she got someone else's kitten. My favourite character was mabel the cat
It was amazing! I Cry a bit when ı came to the end.
Fun
I think it's quite a good read. Verity loves her cat, Mabel. But when Mable is too old she dies so Verity makes her into a cat mummy as she does not want Mabel buried like her mum was when Verity was born.
I liked Verity the most. Yes I would recommend it to someone else.
Sad
I thought this was a brilliant book. It’s about a girl called Verity who has a cat called Mabel. Verity gets very upset and decides to mummify Mabel. My favourite character is Verity. I would definitely recommend this book.
I like verity's character because she is so attached to her pet (like me!)
I enjoyed reading this book although it was a little bit sad in places
