Every day, Mr Grinling the lighthouse keeper cleans and polishes his light to make sure it shines brightly at night. At lunchtime he tucks into a delicious lunch, prepared by his wife. But Mr Grinling isn’t the only one who enjoys it. Can Mrs Grinling stop the greedy seagulls stealing the lighthouse keeper’s lunch

The seagulls! Because they steal the food!
Favourite book to read with my mum. It is a fiction book.
This fiction book was fun to read!
My favourite book written by Ronda Armitage is The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch because the part where the seagulls steal Mr Grinling's lunch is a bit funny. Hamish is my favourite because he is fluffy, cute and fuzzy. I would recommend this to my sister because she likes books and cats.

A classic ‘bad guy’ story.
I liked it when the seagulls were stealing the lighthouse keepers lunch!!
I enjoyed this book. It was quick and easy to read
I like the story and it was fiction
The book was really good. I didn’t like when the seagulls ate his lunch. The seagulls were trying to be sneaky when they wanted to eat the lunch. The light keeper and his wife planned to keep the seagulls away from the lunch by putting mustard in the sandwiches and that meant they didn’t eat it because they didn’t like mustard
Fiction
Very interesting and very funny too
It was naughty of the seagulls to eat the keeper’s lunch.
Great fun with my grandchildren.
Those pesky seagulls! Nice story.
I liked the wife. I sort of liked it.
I really loved it and like other Keeper’s stories I read it more than once.
I think it’s funny when the seagulls get the yucky sandwiches!
I really like Mr G
I liked this book it was funny
I liked it but the bad thing was that in the end the lunch was eaten. I liked the lighthouse keeper himself the best. I may recommend it to my friends.
It's a good book because they came up with lots of ideas for Mr Grinling's lunch but the seagulls kept stealing it so in the end they came up with a plan that did work.
I liked the cat best because it is kind. The story is funny because it has lots of jokes in it. I would like to read another book by Rhonda and David Armitage.
I would recommend it to someone who is interested in jokes.
This book is fictional, based on a Lighthouse Keeper and his love of food. The Lighthouse Keeper runs into a bit of trouble when pesky seagulls keep stealing his lunch! From a Early Years point of view, I found this book to be too long and found children to get quite bored when listening to it. The book does however have lovely illustrations but the story line lets it down.
I would not recommend this book to anyone under the age of 8.
Funny
A good story which I really enjoyed and it made me laugh a lot. My favourite character was Mr Grinling because he got very angry which was very funny.
It was a really funny story when the seagulls kept getting mr gremlins lunch. I liked how the last 2 days mrs gremlin fooled the seagulls with mustard sandwiches.
I like this book because I saw the lighthouses in Cornwall on holiday and there were lots of seagulls trying to steal our lunch.
Love reading these books and finding out what the light keeper gets up too!!
Good but Mr Grinling needs to keep off the sweet stuff! The seagulls are my favourites! Definitely recommend.
I like it when they give mustard to the seagulls and they leave him alone
We struggled a little with this one, it was very wordy with long sentences. Could do with a few more commas etc to allow to breathe!
