Marston Montgomery Reading Group
adults
We are a group of twelve women who live within a small geographical area. We meet most months to discuss books and village life.
We choose our books in an informal manner whereby all members offer suggestions when they have read a book that they think we will enjoy and we decide as a group if we want to read it. Meeting are held at the houses of the members on a rotation basis, however, this does limit the number of members in our group. We get some of our books from Derbyshire Library Service and scource other books individually.
We have used the old phone box in our village as our picture because our group has filled this redundant box with used books as a Bookcrossing site for the use of our whole community. Books are swapped, left and taken from here. As a group we oversee and maintain this site.
