I would recommend this book for slightly older children who enjoy a mystery packed adventure and have a love of horses.
In this book the Pony Club team are training for the Interclub Gold Shield when Issie finds out that her horse is one of the famous El Caballo Danza Magnifico and has to say goodbye due to Francoise wanting one of her best mares back. Issie is deeply upset not just because she is going to lose Blaze but also as this means she is no longer able to compete as she doesn't have a horse anymore.
There is another mystery where someone is trying to prevent the Chevalier Point team from competing, no one knows for sure who this is but the group of children are determined to find out and stop whoever it is! Is it Francoise trying to stop Issie and Blaze competing or one of the other Pony Club members trying to sabotage the group?
I enjoyed the amount of real horsey facts used in this book and that it mentioned some real famous people such as, Richard Walker (youngest rider to win Badminton) and Pippa Funnell with her horse Supreme Rock.
Thrilling...
Excellent pony book
it is a AMAZING book but is also a bit sad when Francis trys to take Blaze away from Issie .I love this book because it is full of adventure and drama and that is the type of book that I like.
Mystery and horses makes perfect book
Although this was a sadder story than Mystic and the midnight ride, I really liked this book because there was more mystery in it. First, Issie and her friends had to figure out why Francoise freaked out when she saw Blaze, then why Annabelle's stirrup broke, next why the horse feed was poisoned and finally who was behind all of this. My favourite character was Morgan, because she apologised to all the people she had caused trouble to and didn't freak out. I would recommend this book to anybody who likes horses, mystery and a moral in the story.
I love this book because it is full of adventure and drama and that is the type of book that I like.
