Now a major Netflix series!
“My name is Harriet Manners, and I am a geek.” Harriet Manners knows that a cat has 32 muscles in each ear, a “jiffy” lasts 1/100th of a second, and the average person laughs 15 times per day. But she doesn’t know why nobody at school seems to like her. So when Harriet is spotted by a top model agent, she grabs the chance to reinvent herself. Even if it means stealing her best friend’s dream, incurring the wrath of her arch enemy Alexa, and repeatedly humiliating herself in front of impossibly handsome model Nick. Even if it means lying to the people she loves. As her old life starts to fall apart, will Harriet be able to transform herself before she ruins everything? The first book in the Geek Girl series, now a live-action Netflix series. TweetReviews
Fab book very good
this book was hilarious and relatable not really for me though
Great fun nice for a light read
I loved the first book and went on to read the entire series.
I liked the fact that the main character was clever but also popular. Geeks are often a figure of fun so it was good to read a book about someone who is both clever but popular
I love this book so much, it’s going to be one of my favs. My favourite character was Harriet as she was determined to do stuff out of her comfort zone. I would recommend this to anyone aged 9+

I enjoyed this book because it's about Harriet Manners, a girl who accidentally becomes spotted to become a model instead of her friend Nat, who actually wants to be a model . Harriet tells her dad and Annmarie . Her parents are on different sides. So Harriet and her dad sneak off to Moscow in Russia and attend a fashion show with Yuka Ito, a scary and serious fashion icon. My favourite part is when Harriet tries to get out of going to the shopping centre. I recommend it to people who like Holly Smale.
it was ok bit boring in some places tho
I liked this book but this wasn't my favourite. I would recommend this book to someone who likes drama stories but is also smart.
this is a super cool book
Loving it so far. I love it because it is all about a girl who doesn't think she's anyone but when she gets chosen to to be a model instead she begins to think differently.
Amazing
I love this book it is so creative and has a great message to share
I didnt really like it idk why
It was a great book all about just being yourself and believing in your real self. I would recommend age 11+. Filled with interesting facts.
really good and entertaining, nice to see the main character’s growth throughout
Very factuall
I relate to the main character a lot nerdy
I incredibly loved the book. It was fiction but I can imagine it happening to Real TEENAGE GIRLS!
Would definitely recommend to people going into years 6 and 7 maybe 8 because it shows you don't have to be popular or things like that or even if you are a geek at least you can be who YOU want to be
It was good
I liked the main characters best friend because she was different
This book was okay, I liked how she was a complete nobody until she got spotted as a model and how jealous her friend is of her! I think it was a good concept, just badly executed.
I really enjoyed this book as I related to it quite a lot I am a big geek/nerd myself and I would recommend to lots of people.
My thought about this story is that it doesn`t matter if you`re a geek or not it matters to be yourself.
My favorite character was Lion Boy (aka Nick) because he helped Harriet to be a model. It interested me because
Great! I recommend it for years 11+.
This book was a really good book that I would recommend a lot. It’s about a girl called Harriet who goes on a trip with her best friend(and only friend!) Natalie or Nat. She meets a boy called Lion boy and gets noticed by a modelling agency, even though she was bullied for being to geeky and ugly. She starts modelling and misses a lot of school and doesn’t tell her friend Natalie who wants to be a model. When she does get to telling Nat, she is fuming and barely speaks to her. Also her stepmom Annabelle is annoyed and moves out of their house and stays in her office. Harriet realises what she’s done and stops modelling. She is interviewed and tells the interviewer(my favourite part) you don’t change yourself for anyone as they cut her hair off and added quite a lot of makeup on her. I enjoyed this book and I think anyone would be able to read it!
Originally, I had found this book in a front yard sale. At first I didn't think it would be that good, but as soon as I got through the first chapter I knew this would be one of the best books I read. It is about a girl called Harriet and she is a geek. On a fashion trip with her best friend (who desperately dreams of being a model) she gets spotted (in a disaster) by Wilber (who was in search for a new model) and he takes her to the fashion agency. Then she goes on a rollercoaster trip with enemies, friend and boy problems. I would definitely recommend this for girls who need a little bit of drama and laughter. 5 out of 5!
I really like this book! It was funny, heartfelt and I just adored it! Such a easy read- 4 stars! Looking forward to reading the next in the series. I loved the main character, Harriet, and I would really recommend!
