“A true genius . . . Roald Dahl is my hero” David Walliams
Matilda’s parents have called her some terrible things, but the truth is she’s a genius and they’re the stupid ones. Underestimating Matilda proves to be a big mistake as they, along with her spiteful headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, soon find out when Matilda discovers she has a very special power.

I love this book, I also have this on my Yoto
This was the hardest book I have read and took me two weeks reading a chapter a night. I loved it!!!! I found the trunchbull character funny but mean and I liked Bruce bogtrotter too. This book also had colour pictures in it which broke the text up and made the read even more enjoyable. Recommend anyone to read this book.
I liked this book because it had nice characters. I like Matilda and Miss Honey.
I would recommend this book. It's about a little girl who likes reading and her parents don't encourage reading.
I especially liked the part with the newt
I loved the happy ending and Miss Honey would be a wonderful teacher.
Fab book

It was quite funny and I liked when Matilda wrote words on the board and Ms Trunchbull fainted.
A huge fan favourite. I had higher expectations. Enjoyed most of it but probably won't read again.
I like the movie and the Revolting children son I the film. The book had soms big words and it was hard to read for me.
I read this book for my littler sister whe likes Revoulting Children and watched the movie for Matilda so I read the book to her. It is fiction and I like Bruc eating the cake part but not the whole story. The movie is better.

I love this book -I like Matilda and Miss Honey. I like it when Matilda does things to bad people and they don't know it's her that's doing it. I like it when she swings Miss Trunchbull by her pigtails at the end.
Matilda was my favourite character because she was really smart and even though she missed school she was still really smart because she would read books. I would recommend this to someone because it's a really fun and interesting book.
