The world’s most famous detective. The most brilliant mind in fiction. But before he became the great detective, who was young Sherlock Holmes? The first book in a series of mystery adventures featuring a teenage Sherlock and endorsed by the Conan Doyle Estate, now with a new cover look

An exciting book
It was exciting and the plot was well thought through. I would recommend it to a mystery lover like myself.
best book ever
It was exciting and I just couldn't put the book down
I didn't want this book to end!
It was so interesting and very hard to put down because everytime you tried there was a plot twist. I liked Matty Arnatt the best because there is a whole storyline to be revealed about his character. I would 100% recommend.
If you like mystery books these are the books for you. There is around 8 in the series and I am on the 4th one. however i would say it is the best so far. Happy reading!
I like it because you never know what is going to happen next
Very exciting and mysterious,
such a wonderful and fun to read book. A great introduction to who Sherlock becomes later on.
Sherlock Holmes has taken on a life of his own . So why not expand your holmesian knowledge by getting an insight into his teenage life. The year is 1868 and Sherlock Holmes is fourteen . His life is that of a perfectly ordinary army officers son : boarding school , good manners , a classical education - - the backbone of the British Empire . But all that is about to change . With his father suddenly posted to India , and his mother mysteriously unwell , Sherlock is sent to stay with his eccentric uncle and aunt in their vast house in Hampshire . So begins a summer which leads Sherlock to uncover his first murder ,a kidnap , corruption and a brilliantly sinister villain of exquisitely malign intent -----------------
I think this is a good book because it has a lot of excitement and is quite good if you want to read Sherlock Holmes; but think it might be a bit complicated to follow. Sometimes it uses some complex language, so I would suggest this for 10-11 +
In my opinion this book is a good read for children from 8-15. In the book you will learn more about the Victorian era. This book will give you a thirst for adventure and send you on a wild roller coaster from Farnham all the way to London as Sherlock tries to solve a mystery that could end Britain as we know it. This book varies from a range of characters like Sherlock , a young boy who is always keen to solve mysteries, to Baron Mauterpis an evil figure who tries to get rid of the British forces. I definitely enjoyed this book and anybody who has a thirst for adventure or loves mystery should read this outstanding novel
This is the first book in the series and I'm looking forward to reading the rest. 😃
Great start for a detective genre.

This is a good book for mystery lovers. The plot is well thought through and the characters are all different and awesome. They use their unique talents to solve the mystery together.
cool
This mystery book is really intense and full of action. It captures a young boys life.
Scary
brilliant but if you don't have 100 percent intrest you wont know what is going on.
My favourite book I've read all summer: Death Cloud is the story of when the legend-Sherlock Holmes-gets wrapped up in a mystery where, more than once; his life is threatened.......
Brings the great detective to a 10 year olds face in a good way.
