It was very milky
My favourite character was definitely the little sister! It interested me because it tells a huge story of milk!why milk?It is just so funny!Yes I would recommend it to someone else but I wish the kids went on the adventure too.
Its a little bit strange because he travels through time just to get the milk back to his children!
I really like this book it’s so fun there’s no milk so the dad has to get some but their are some ups and downs on the way there
This story is about two siblings that one morning wake up and they don't have milk for breakfast. So dad goes to get some and while he walks back aliens catch him and then someway he goes back....
It was very funny and the weirdest book ever - in a good way! And cereal is very important in the morning.
I thought it was a great adventure story. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes adventure.
It’s funny and weird too!
My favourite part of the story was when the dad out of the spaceship and fell into a hot air balloon I thought it was very funny because proffeser steg called the hot air balloon a floaty ball person carrier.
I chose this because I love Coraline which is probably one of Neil Gaiman's most famous children's books. I wasn't disappointed and sat enthralled by the wonderful illustrations and bonkers story. It reminds me of Monty Python's and The Mighty Boosh for the surreal and crazy antics that the dad gets up to. The part where the aliens want to remodel earth using decorative plates to replace famous landmarks and embroidered cushions for mountains was wonderfully ridiculous. This is a perfect book to read as a class story at the end of the day. I am currently reading it to my 9-year-old daughter.
It shows history and it’s non-fiction.
We actually gave up. We sadly found this really hard to keep track of!
This was an easy read and I thought it would best suit 7-10 year olds. There are lots of detailed pictures, expertly drawn by well-known illustrator Chris Riddell. This is the first childnren'sbook I have read by Neil Gaiman and I found it original and heart-warming. I think it would appeal as a book fathers would read to their children. I have recommended it to my 10 year old son to read.
I would recommend it to my Dad because he loves Neil Gaiman he loves fantasy books. the person I liked best was the dad because it felt like he was making it up all the way through
An enjoyable little read. The illustrations are brilliant.
I like this book because it is a time travelling adventure and I like History.
I thought it was a funny story and a good story to read. My favourite character was probably professor steg the dinosaur because of the funny names that she made up. I would recommend this to people that don’t like reading because it would make them want to read.
Can see children whizzing through this book. Moves quickly through the plot but with a funny underlying theme.
Amazing!
Professer steg was my favourite
I would recommend to everyone, mummy is now reading it!
This was very funny! I plan to share with my class this year!
I liked splod and the aliens. It was an amazing book, lots of problems happened and I liked those sort of books - it was an adventure.
Professor steg is an unusual character because he is a dinosaur that can talk!
Crazy, imaginative, bizarre, fantastic story about what might have happened when dad went to get the milk. Gorgeous illustrations by Chris Riddell.
I like all the characters in the book and the story is fun
This book was funny and weird, and I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it because when the green globby alien people told their plans of redecorating the world it was very funny with their stupid ideas. I believe the story was true because at the end there was a pirate dubloon on the bottom of the milk. I think you should read this book because it's funny, exciting and silly.
Extremely entertaining. I would recommend it to anyone who likes giggling.
I liked the big bellied pirate.
I liked that I got to use my imagination to think about what might have happened at the end
Good and funny
This book is great fun to read, both through the text and illustrations as the main character rushes headlong through a magical adventure, while on his way home from the corner shop. Unfortunately, it would not be a useful book to read aloud to the class, as the visual cues would be difficult to share.
Fiction, the wumpires, it was really cool, I would recommend
