‘Dear Uncle Morton. You’d better get on a plane right now and come back here. Your dragon has eaten Jemima.’ It had sounded so easy: Edward was going to look after Uncle Morton’s unusual pet for a week while he went on holiday. But soon the fridge is empty, the curtains are blazing, and the postman is fleeing down the garden path.

Not bad. Not something I’d read again but I enjoyed the characters
I like these books but they're too easy for me.
At the beginning of the story where they could not find the key it was found under a eagle talon and how could they find it when mum forgot about it
Yes I will recommend to my friends
I liked the bit where the dragon pooed everywhere because it is funny.
Funny book
I liked it because the mum tried to phone everyone but nobody wanted to take the dragon and was just sitting there not knowing what else to do.
I like that the dragon pooped in mums bedroom.
good
I liked it when the dragon lay on the couch being lazy and wouldn’t get off.
I found it funny.
I liked this book because it tells you what happens and it is very funny too
I liked the dragon, because it burnt a while in the fridge and like chocolate like me.
This was funny but I found the emails a bit strange
This funny little book is ideal for children who like witty, amusing short stories. This book is about a young boy babysitting his Uncle's dragon while he goes on holiday. The chaos this dragon causes is highly amusing whilst at the same time looking incredibly grumpy and unimpressed. The relationship is really sweet between the Uncle and the Nephew. A lovely quick read book which would be ideal for any reader. I now want my very own dragon for my school library, especially now I know what they really love to eat to keep them happy!!!
Morton pretend to not send email
I would recommend it. I liked the part when the fridge was burned.
I liked it because it was really funny but it was quite short and didn’t have a lot of text
This is a hilarious book about looking after a dragon while the uncle is away on holiday. It is a fictional story told through emails. My favourite character is Edward Smith-Pickle as he is really calm throughout. The mother gets really cross understandably as the dragon creates a lot of mess and is extremely destructive but this book is thoroughly entertaining. I would recommended it to all children that love funny and entertaining stories.
I liked this book because i like dragons I liked the uncle I would tell this book to somwon.
we found it really funny and liked the format.
My favorite character is Edward pickle because he forgot that his uncle gave him instruction on the couch and found out that the chocolate helps with the dragon ziggy.
I will absolutely recommend this book to my friends because it’s hilarious.
This was written in messages not a story. It was all about someone trying to babysit a dragon. It is quite funny because he burns lots of things and does a poo on the carpet!
I loved it because the dragon chased away the naughty cat and loved chocolate. I really liked it because the dragon was kind of cute
very good book, with lots of funny bits
Fiction
I like uncle morton
Yes I Would recommend it .
I like Ziggy the Dragon best!
I like the way the book is set out in emails.
I liked the Dragon best because he breathed fire to make a hole in the fridge!
The book is really nice because the dragon was not behaving good initially but then in the end, it started behaving good. I thought Uncle Morton would never give a message to his nephew, but he did. My favourite character is the dragon. I would recommend this book to someone because it is really funny and interesting.
I thought the story was interesting. I never knew you could have a dragonsitter. My favourite person was Ed, because was kind to the dragon and polite to his uncle Morton.
Yes I would recommend it
