It’s Harry’s first day at school. He and his dinosaurs are very excited and perhaps a little bit nervous. But when Harry’s dinosaur friends don’t join him in the classroom, Harry’s not so sure he’s going to like school, but the dinosaurs come to the rescue and Harry and his new friend learn just how much fun school can really be.

I liked it when he made a new friend and when his friend made a joke - Jackosaurus! When I started Reception, I was excited.
I liked it as Harry helped someone who was nervous
This a really good story!
My favourite part is when they made friends and roared. It reminded me of when I had no friends when I started a new school but then I made four best friends and we roared.
I liked this story because it was slightly mischievous and fun. I really love dinosaurs
It was very nice because Harry made friends with his dinosaurs and helped another new boy settle into school even though he was scared as well

I loved this story when Harry went to a new school
When he arrives at his new school
The dinosaurs are so cute.
He explored school with his dinosaurs and made new friends
he was scared
I thought this book had a good story line that a lot of children can relate to in terms of the anxiety of starting a new school. It is clear that the dinosaurs provide comfort for Harry, this is seen in the way his mood peaks and troughs in absence or presence of the dinosaurs throughout the day. It was nice to see Mrs Rance excepting Harrys love for the dinosaurs. The introduction of Harry and Jack's friendship through the shared interest of Harry's dinosaurs and Jack's digger represents common occurrences where simple things in children's lives is often where many friendships blossom from. I believe it would be an easy read for a KS1 child, whilst providing challenges through the complicated phonics of the dinosaur names that pop up throughout. Would definitely recommend.
The funniest part was that the boys name would be jackosaurus
What a fun story to help someone who is starting school and recommend this story to help them and show how Harry gets through his first day.
Harry does well and makes a new friend as well.
