Four different voices tell their own versions of the same walk in the park. The radically different perspectives give a fascinating depth to this simple story which explores many of the author’s key themes, such as alienation, friendship and the bizarre amid the mundane.
Anthony Browne’s world-renowned artwork is full of expressive gorillas, vibrant colours and numerous nods to Magritte and other artists, while being uniquely Browne’s own style.

A warm and moving story
This is one of my favourite book.

I liked how they put Mary Poppins and King Kong in the background.
This book in 3 words: friendship. Happy. Outlook
Good
It was great
I liked how there was 4 different voices and you need to put the different voices on
It is amazing and fun, fun, because you get to find all the pictures and amazing appreciating because the boys makes a new friend.
I liked how people became friends
I liked when the boy made a friend in the park.
I would recommend this book to my friends.
This book is about different characters telling their stories, when they met at the park.
I think this is a kind of weird book that I don't really like.
I like Charles' Mum because I like her attitude.
Yes, I would to see what they thought about the book.
Not very interesting.
The story is about four characters all going to the park. Each character tells their story from their own perspective. Each of the four characters have their own thoughts and worries for different reasons. Each character's story is written in different fonts to reflect their different personalities and also different seasons are used to tell each characters story.
I would recommend this book to children and adults. Although on the surface it seems like an easy read, the themes (friendship, lonliness) are quite complex.
It was an interesting book as it showed different viewpoints from the same experience. I would recommend it as it shows how you can look at the same situation but from a more positive perspective.
It was very different
monkey called Charles is my favorite because he made anew friend.
I loved it so much I want to read it again another day.
I like Albert the dog the most.
I would maybe recommend it to someone else.
This is the same story as A Walk in the Park, but from the voices of the characters - illustrated as Gorillas instead of people in this version. The dogs have the same names in both stories. It was fun to read the two stories together and see the similarities and differences. The pictures were funny with silly surprises hidden everywhere! :-)
i read it but dont really remember it, it was about cats and dogs and people talking in the park. bit of a blur i lost interest
Really thought provoking book. Great to read the different perspectives of the 4 characters and how their experiences intertwined.
I like the book because I like the monkeys.
I liked spotting the clues in the pictures. I liked the one where the trees were yelling. The voice of the mum was unkind.
I gave this book a 3 because I didn't like it that much but it wasn't entirely bad. My thoughts about this book is a bit confusing in my opinion but it was nice to see other people's perspective. personally, I think the book should've been more clearer bout who's perspective we're looking at but overall the book was nice to read. I would definitely recommend this to young kids who are social and perhaps like trying new stuff also this would be a good book for teachers This is a good book but it wasn't 5 stars in my opinion.
I liked that the book told the same story but from different characters so it was like 4 different stories. I wish he had told the dogs story too. I like that he uses gorillas and monkeys as the characters.
The same visit to the park told from the point of view of different character. Great pictures.
I did like the book because i liked it when the girl gave a flower to the boy.
It was a good book. It was very interesting. It was very funny.
I thought it was a good book.
I Thought it was a very funny book.
I liked the small gorilla.
My favourite character was Smudge because she let Charlie play with her on the equipment. It was interesting because you got to hear all the different characters point of view. I would recommend it to my friends.
