Knowing how successful the series was, I started this book with great expectations. Sadly, by the middle of the book, I couldn’t wait to finish it. I really enjoyed the author’s writing style, but the level of detail and description detracted from the plot and slowed the book to a barely perceptible pace. I don’t think I’ll be rushing to read any of her other books anytime soon.
