A superb book loved by the children during book club. They loved the creativity of the recipes and were engaged by new and exciting vocabulary. A nice change of pace and certainly a series I'd like to continue to read.

I liked Madeleine because she was great at cooking and was friends with madame Pamplemousse and Camembert. Madame Pamplemousse had a recipe for green pat'e, it sounded great.

It's about a girl called Mario and who is sent by her uncle who owns a kitchen to get some pate but she gets it from a different shop than usual so it tastes delish then her uncle makes the girl be the woman's assistant to get a recipe when he makes it it tastes completely different disgusting

I liked this book because it was funny. My favourite character was Monsieur Lard because he looked like a pig, even though he was a criminal.

I loved this book because it was based in a different country in Paris. It was an amazing book!
It is fiction, about a little girl who runs a restaurant called the Squealing Pig with an evil Uncle who is not very nice to her. She discovers an enchanted food shop run by Madame Pamplemousse which sells fantastical edibles! The best character I liked was the little girl called Madeleine because she is really kind. It interested me because it was different from other books (in a good way).
I would recommend it for ages 6-11.
