À good ending as a cliff hanger.
I loved the idea that the amber spyglass can see dust (a bit like atoms except in this world they area bit different). The two main characters fall in love and together they help all universes, for example letting the ghosts out of the ghost prison.
Good book
Great
sensational fiction
I really enjoyed the final book of the trilogy; especially the plot twists. Philip Pullman is never sentimental about his characters.
I gretly enjoyed thids book but found out too late that I hadn't read the second book, oops.
I enjoyed this book and the series.
Just wow
An outstanding book
I think it's a very good book but for advanced readers i think you should read the first 2 then this one best character is Will
It was very exciting and it brought everything from the last two books and explained them.
It was very emotional and my favourite characters were Seferina Pekkla, Lee scorsbury and Will Parry
too detailed and long.
better ending than start.
fiction all characters are good
i would only reccommend if you enjoyed the rest of the series
Loved it!
A brilliant tale of love and sacrafice many surivied many did die.
indi
I rate this book 5/5 !!!
I love how it has drama and lots of plot twists !!!
Would totally recommend this book !!!
I absolutely loved this book!
I mainly like this/these books because they make you feel lots of emotions. I have cried many times during reading this book! I like the idea of the mufela , which ride on seed pods. You understand everything in the book yet you don't at the same time. At the end you find out that everything is linked! , which must of been quite difficult to do.I would a hundred percent recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure , confusing yet not confusing, mystery, war , books.
This was a bit harder to read than the others in the series but just as good. It was really sad at the end though.
this book was amazing, slightly more serious than the other two books but with more of a plot. I enjoyed it especially when they journeyed to the world of the dead and opened a portal to free the spirits of the ghosts. My favourite character was Lyra Belaqua because of her vivacious spirit and will to go on adventures. the idea that love is the energy needed to save the universe. I also enjoyed the fact that lyra was mother Eve, the first woman. I would recommend this book.
this is the best one of the trilogy. an amazing read.
The Amber Spyglass; is the final book of His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman and it has won the 2001 Whitbread Book of the Year award. This book may contain some spoilers if you have not read the first two books in the trilogy yet; Northern Lights and The Subtle Knife.
It's a great book but a bit sad too
It is a great story of a girl called Lyra Belaqua/Silvertongue and Will Parry. They journey to the land of the dead in order to find Lyra's friend Roger and Will's dad. They release all of the ghosts and escape many creatures - the harpies, gallivespians. Meanwhile Mrs coulter and Lord Asriel are trying to find Lyra, and sacrifice themselves in order for Lyra to live
Very captive but could have more description about the battle.
I liked how they created the amber spyglass by using oil and laquer.
I would recommend this book to those who are 10 & over. If you are a fan of Harry Potter and want a more challenging read this book is a great book to read.
I enjoyed the part when Will helped the living dead to became atoms in any where of the world instead of being trapped in the land of the dead.
It is a very gripping and dramatic book. It breaks your heart in the end when...I'm not going to spoil it so you'll have to read it. A MUST READ !!!
I think you should read it because of it's sense of adventure, it really gripped me because of that mainly, but also because it really gripped me; it was unputdownable!
A complicated, yet thrilling book about the story of a young girl called lyra.
