It was fiction but a little bit of non-fiction. I loved it
As some parts it could be confusing but the money part was nice as you dont get many books like it.
I didn’t think this book was that interesting and I did not like it that much.
An entertaining read. Suitable for KS2.
it was a really good book i would recommend it to people with an adventurous spirit
Enjoyable read, which I completed in a day.
Reminded me of 'Curious Incident' in terms of accessibility and content (misunderstood child, family issues, running away...!) so I can see myself suggesting this to certain students in the future.
Reminded me also of the film 'Nativity' - perhaps more because of the Primary School setting and the actual Nativity that takes place.
I liked the pace of the novel and the look into the corrupting power of money, and seeing the protagonist as this quiet voice of reason definitely makes him someone to root for.
I thought that it was a intruiging story about burglars and being rich. There is lots of humour and complex exchanging of money. My favourite character was probably Barney.
In this book these boys wake up and go into their treehouse and find money and a man comes and says would you like me to help you carry it but no because the boys want to take it to the bank. The man lies about it being his money. I liked this book a lot it was exciting.
This was such fun to read. If you accidentally found yourself with a large sum of money that was not stolen, just spare, what would you spend it on? I really enjoyed what the boys did to get things they wanted, from a ride home to pieces of work completed. Loved the way their dad approached their antics - I think he was my favourite character. Strongly recommend.
Amazing
Really good read, but a little bit sad also
This is a great book full of laughs , smiles and of course loads of money. The main character,Damian, and his brother , Anthony, are guaranteed to put a smile on your face
THIS BOOK IS THE BEST BOOK IN THE WORLD YOU SHOULD READ
IT'S A REAL PAGE TURNER!!!!
don't like the book but love the film
ok
Well it's very boring and confusing but it does get exciting. So if you are patient then try it!
If you are interested in mystery and keeping secrets, this book is for you.
This book is ok just about 2 boys who's mum died and money.
I would rate it 3/5
Britten's changing to euros & the world's burglers are running amock. What could go rong? you'll have to wait & see!!!;)
A bit hard to under-stand but hilarious.
It's about two boys suddenly finding £229,370 on the first of December. One boy thinks they should give it to the poor, the other thinks they should spend it all. They have 16 days to change it before the seventeenth of December when the country swaps its currency to the €. They spend it(not all of it) on things their schoolmates have(mostly junk). They even gave someone £10 for giving them a fork. Then one boy puts £3,000 in a bin to give to a charity. They give out a lot of £10 to their schoolmates. On the seventeenth of December they changed £62,000,000 plus £70,000,000 to €'s. And a few £'s left with a few dollars. Which totals £132,000,000 in €'s with the few £'s left which they use to cover up the eldest boy's room's football wallpaper. Which left the boy VERY ANGRY. He said it was the younger boy's fault and that he was a nutter and should be locked up. Later the younger boy burns the the money(I don't think the book tells you what money) on the railway line. They have €20,345 remaining and they give it to a charity and they build 14 new wells in Nigeria in Africa.
I like the plot and idea of the money being disposed of, but people are trying to steal the money and exchange it in the bank. I think it is a very, very good book.
In my opinion, this is a great book due to the quality and suspense throw-out the book. Cottrell Boyce has put a lot of hard work into this book and it really deserves to be read by millions of people across the world.
I recommend this book because it's funny.
