From the powerhouse author/illustrator team of Iggy Peck, Architect comes Rosie Revere, Engineer, another charming, witty picture book about pursuing your passion. Rosie may seem quiet during the day, but at night she’s a brilliant inventor of gizmos and gadgets who dreams of becoming a great engineer. When her Great, Great Aunt Rose (Rosie the Riveter) comes for a visit and mentions her one unfinished goal—to fly—Rosie sets to work building a contraption to make her aunt’s dream come true. Her invention complete, Rosie attempts a test flight—but after a moment, the machine crashes to the ground. Discouraged, Rosie deems the invention a failure, but Aunt Rose insists that on the contrary, it was a raging success. You can only truly fail, she explains, if you quit. Reassured, Rosie returns to her engineering and inspires her classmates to join in the fun.

I have given this book 3 stars because although it is a good story, it is quite a short book.
When life has failure keeping trying again and finally you will succeed because nothing is impossible. Also, just don’t quit
I think its a really good book to show children they should never give up on what they want to do.
I really like this story. We did it at school.
It was a factual story and I !liked it.
I liked that this book was about trying.
I liked this book because it shows you not to give up and believe in your own ideas.
I loved this story to help inspire children to follow their dreams and not give up on their passions. It’s a story which highlights perseverance and also the history of women in aviation. I love that it shows women working in jobs which can often be quite male dominated. I also enjoyed the rhyming aspect.
It told me that you should never give up even if you make mistakes and you can't go through life without at least one and Rosie made lots of inventions and didn't give up on any of them and there is only one big mistake you can make and that is giving up.
interesting
First experience of being an engineer
This book is about a little girl who loves making inventions but is disheartened when she makes her uncle a hat to keep off snakes and he laughs at her. That is until she meets a great aunt who encourages her to help make a flying machine and she keeps trying until she succeeds. It’s based on women during the world war who invented lots of things to help the soldiers.
I really liked this book because I like books that rhyme but it is also inspirational and the kind of book I’d like my daughter to read.
Return in delightful verse and third with Sneaky histories of women in aviation, it’s perfect inspirational material for young makers. Comically detailed mixed media illustrations keep the mood light and emphasise Rosie’s creativity at every turn

It was a good book.
I like all the inventions. I like to make inventions too.
Rosie Revere used to make gadgets for her uncles and aunts but when she made a cheese hat for one of her uncles, it went very wrong. She decided never to share her inventions again.
But when her oldest relation came to visit, she taught Rosie the value of trying hard.
I loved reading this book as it had lots of fun and silly inventions which made me laugh.
I liked Rosie Revere as she was trying her best.
