I thought this book was really good. I liked it when they got aboard the Carpathia. I would recommend it.
It was a good book
Beautiful and sad story.
it was really sad in the titanic bit
Loved this book
Loved this book as I have cats
I loved this book! A historical based book plus cats, and the poignancy of the tragedy of the Titanic but with a hopeful ending. Another wonderful book from this established story teller.
I absolutely loved this book, and I enjoyed reading about how Michael Morpurgo got his inspiration for this story.
This was a great book for thinking about empathy and one I think, any aged child or adult would enjoy reading.
I loved Johnny because he was a good friend and a orphan and he looked after Kaspar. I would rate this book 100/100 then I would give this to someone else.
I loved Johnny because he was a good person and he stood strong and I rate it 100 percent
I found it very sad when the titanic sank but in the end it was a very good ending. I would recommend this to older readers who like a bit of drama.
This is a gripping read that took me 5 days to read
I am thinking that it is adventurous and very sad.
It was a really good book, I finished it in one day. Now I plan on reading more Michael Morpurgo books.
I like the book as I have learned about the titanic
i loved it
I liked the girl because she looked after Kaspar. This was quite a sad read but it was well-written.
This was an amazing storyline and something I would totally recommend to someone who LOVES history (especially the history of the titanic. The bravery that this book maintained was absolutely stunning and it was a novel that loved to leave you on a cliff hanger. Since cats are my favourite animals, this book was purrfect for cat lovers. This story was the one and only Kaspar, Prince of Cats, starring Prince Kaspar, the only cat to survive the sinking of the titanic.
I really enjoyed reading this book. My Favourite character was Lizabeth Because she was very clever.
I was a little bit scared at the titanic bit just a little, but that’s OK. I would recommend this book.
Very good, very engaging I like how it told you everything around the cat ant it’s self.
My teenage daughter recommended me this, as one of her favourite books from primary school. I am aware that adults sometimes like Morpurgo books more than children do, but I think Kaspar is one that children are likely to enjoy.
Kaspar, Prince of Cats, has lots of the ingredients I love in a book: likeable and realistic protagonist (Johnny Trott) along with some good cast members - Countess Kandinsky, Mr Freddie, Skullface, Lizziebeth and of course, the eponymous Kaspar himself; history - in this case early 20th century, tying in significantly with the Titanic; adventure; and a happy ever after ending!
Recommended for confident KS2 readers who like the above ingredients.
I like that when johnny trot got caught that his friend kindly gave him a chance to go to new york with kaper and and her family
I enjoyed this new spin on the Titanic disaster. It could link into History lessons about the event nicely.
Sad, Loving and including the .R.M.S. Titanic.
lovely
This book was ok. I found it a little boring
This book was great
A superb insight into the events that led to the survival of Kaspar during the sinking of the Titanic and the impact that a pet can have on the lives of those who own them.
The book is based on real events and The Savoy which is the setting for the majority of the book is perfectly match to the real palace.
The story builds to a great ending and leaves the reader wanting to know more. Loved it
Kasper is a unique book as it is set in the time of the sinking of the Titanic. My favourite character was duchess since she was so kind and chose to be that way, this can be seen when she scolds a man for not caring for a horse the proper was.
good
