Go on a galactic adventure with the last human on Earth, his alien best friend, and a depressed android.
Introducing younger readers to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, this YA edition of the funny sci-fi classic includes an introduction from Artemis Fowl author Eoin Colfer. One Thursday lunchtime the Earth gets unexpectedly demolished to make way for a new hyperspace bypass.
It’s the final straw for Arthur Dent, who has already had his house bulldozed that morning.
But for Arthur, that is only the beginning . . . In the seconds before global obliteration, Arthur is plucked from the planet by his friend Ford Prefect – and together the pair venture out across the galaxy on the craziest, strangest road trip of all time! Totally hilarious, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy has been a radio show, TV show, stage play, comic book and film, and is and a work of utter comic genius from Douglas Adams.

Really interesting and exciting fantasy space adventure which imagines a disparate group of travellers working their way around space after the Earth is destroyed. Lots of phrases have made it into cultural references so worth reading just for that, such as 'paranoid android' and 'number 42'.
I enjoy reading this book although it is quite hard to read. It has a lot of funny parts in it and I would recommend it to people aged 12+
It is a funny book, it has got great tips to get of the planet.
I liked the character called Ford Prefect, and the Heart of Gold. It was crazy.
It was a nice read and it had very interesting bits but at places I got bored.
It was amazingly adventurous
I liked Zaphod Beeblebrox
A really funny book! Marvin the Paranoid Android is hilarious and so are the computers and doors! Arthur Dent is a great character and he is a character that you don’t want to get hurt. Zaphod Beeblebrox, Ford Prefect and Trillian are all amazing too! Douglas Adams is an amazing author and writes the best books!
This book was very funny and very intriguing. I was hooked. Each main character is well-developed and likeable in their own way. Lots of exciting events occur in this book which kept me on the edge of my toes.
