It made me think that friendship can have problems but you need to make an effort to fix it and always be loyal to your friends. It also made me think how growing up can be awkward but it’s normal part of life.
I would recommend who enjoys comedy , stories about school, friends and family.
The book contains mild rude humour, growing up/ puberty and embarrassing situations which is a warning for very young children. I would recommend age 9-12 kids

I really enjoy diary of the wimpy kid books but this one was one of the best I liked the part where Rowley and Greg were stuck in a sleepover in their school and everyone except them had mobiles but at the end all the adults took their children away because they weren't responding but Rowley and Greg stayed
I really enjoyed reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth. It was funny because Greg had to deal with growing up, taking on more responsibility, and some changes in his friendships. There were lots of moments that made me laugh.
