Dear reader,
There is nothing to be found in Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events but misery and despair. You still have time to choose another international best-selling series to read. But if you insist on discovering the unpleasant adventures of the Baudelaire orphans, then proceed with caution… Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire are intelligent children. They are charming, and resourceful, and have pleasant facial features. Unfortunately, they are exceptionally unlucky. In The Reptile Room the siblings endure a car accident, a terrible smell, a deadly serpent, a long knife, a brass reading lamp, and the re-appearance of a person they’d hoped never to see again. In the tradition of great storytellers, from Dickens to Dahl, comes an exquisitely dark comedy that is both literary and irreverent, hilarious and deftly crafted. Despite their wretched contents, A Series of Unfortunate Events has sold 60 million copies worldwide and been made into a Hollywood film starring Jim Carrey. And in the future things are poised to get much worse, thanks to the forthcoming Netflix series directed by Barry Sonnenfeld. You have been warned. Are you unlucky enough to own all 13 adventures? The Bad Beginning The Reptile Room The Wide Window The Miserable Mill The Austere Academy The Ersatz Elevator The Vile Village The Hostile Hospital The Carnivorous Carnival The Slippery Slope The Grim Grotto The Penultimate Peril The End And what about All The Wrong Questions? In this four-book series a 13-year-old Lemony chronicles his dangerous and puzzling apprenticeship in a mysterious organisation that nobody knows anything about: ‘Who Could That Be at This Hour?’ ‘When Did you Last See Her?’ ‘Shouldn’t You Be in School?’ ‘Why is This Night Different from All Other Nights?’ Lemony Snicket was born before you were and is likely to die before you as well. He was born in a small town where the inhabitants were suspicious and prone to riot. He grew up near the sea and currently lives beneath it. Until recently, he was living somewhere else. Brett Helquist was born in Ganado, Arizona, grew up in Orem, Utah, and now lives in New York City. He earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Brigham Young University and has been illustrating ever since. His art has appeared in many publications, including Cricket magazine and The New York Times. TweetReviews
So sad when Montgomery died but I was cheered up when Sunny became friends with the Incredibly Deadly Viper.
It was very cultivating wanting me to read more and more, at times i felt i forecasted what was coming next but to my surprise my prediction was wrong but more interesting
I thought it was ridiculous when Montgomery Montgomery called the snake The incredibly deadly viper when it was harmless.
I liked this book because it was fun and enjoyable to read and I also enjoyed how smart the siblings were and how quick they worked but i dont like how they were treated and never believed that stephano is Couny Olaf
I loved how the snake is called the venomous deadly snake but is actually harmless. I recommend this to someone who likes fiction books about animals.
It was a good read. Count Olaf was very bad and did horrible things but I enjoyed it at the end when he got caught. I would recommend it to people who like action stories.
In the 2nd of these terrible tales, Violet, Sunny and Klaus will face, a giddy uncle, a room full of snakes and someone they never wanted to see again. Will this ever end?!

Liked it
A sequel of many, and it starts off strong! With mamba du mal's, murder and missions in Peru, this book is a rollercoaster that keeps you hooked! The trio return, witha slightly nutty but nice professor to guard them. Who wins? Who knows...
it was dramatic

Really enjoyable
Brilliant book
It was an interesting and nice book.
I would recommend this.
I loved how Sunny, Violet, and Klaus were really smart in exposing Count Olaf/Stephano
It was interesting and gruesome but this one had more friendship in it
It’s fascinating, intriguing and very suspenseful. I loved it
Very good! I like the writing style and the engagement with the readers
scary
No funnies but a good story.
This was a sad book to read, I can't lie. Uncle Monty was awesome, and it's so sad to think about the life the Baudelair's could have had with him if it wasn't for Count Olaf.
They were in the perfect environment for all of them - considering they are orphans. All of their talents would have been developed and put to good use, but that was taken away from them over money.
I love this series now that I'm reading it properly, and as sad as the themes are, I'm excited to read the rest of it and find out what other miseries the Baudelair's endure. I'm also curious to find out if they eventually get their happy ending.
I enjoy Lemony Snicket’s style of writing and would recommend this book to others.
I liked Sunny best because it is hilarious when she shouts random words or sound and bites people. I love it because you think their life is sorted but obviously it isn’t actually and it is fun to follow the siblings train of thoughts.
I thought that the mystery was very exiting and mysterious I thought it was a shame that count Olaf escaped.
Interesting book. A very good read.
This book would be amazing foe everyone since it is full of suspence.
I liked Violet the best.
This is a highly interesting book. Anyone interested in snakes or a double death, well, this is the book for them.
Excellent! For all ages.
Cool
