The Cat in the Hat

This book made me feel happy because the cat came on a rainy day to come and play. I enjoyed this book because Thing 1 and 2 came as well. I would recommend this book because it is very silly. This book is a must read because the cat in the hat cat do so much funny things.

I like the cat in the hat the best he is very mischievous

It’s about a cat that comes to twins house. He plays lots of tricks on them, like holding the fish tank on the umbrella. They wanted him to leave but he wouldn’t go. He brought a big red box with Thing 1 and Thing 2. They made a mess! It was a funny book.

I gave the book four stars because it was only a bit funny

I liked the bit where the fish said you should leave, you should not be here when mother is out, but he didn't, and he just did a load of tricks, but he came back with a sorting machine and tidied up all the mess before his mother came home.

I love that the cat is a little bit naughty but helps them clean on the end

Can't believe I've never read this before! Great rhyming pattern to read aloud plus useful word and phrase repetition too allowing children to join in.

Interesting

This book was interesting because its about a cat that can talk that gets in trouble by the talking fish. I was surprised that the cat didn't try to eat the fish. The book had some funny tongue twisters in there. I would recommend this book to my friends I think they will find it funny.

The Cat in the Hat is a fantastic book because it turns a boring, rainy day into a wild, magical adventure that keeps you hooked from start to finish. My absolute favourite character is the Fish because he is hilarious; he acts like the voice of reason, constantly panicking and reminding the kids of the rules while the Cat causes total chaos. I would definitely recommend this book to any 9-year-old because, even though the words are easy to read, the rhythmic rhyming is super fun and the story makes you wonder what you would do if a giant cat wrecked your house while your parents were out!
