I really likes it because I'm doing "We survived the Blitz(WW2)
My favourite bit was when he found mum.
Because it was a bit sad
brillant love it so good and passionte 100/100
My favourite character is Lenny. Lenny’s Dad goes to fight in the war. Before he goes he gives Lenny a badge with 2 animals engraved on it, a lion for bravery and a unicorn for courage. He is evacuated to the country and Lenny needs all his bravery and courage.
A super picture book that will help older KS2 pupils understand the feelings of evacuated children during the Second World War. The illustrations are wonderful and the text draws the reader in. When Lenny's father goes overseas to fight, he gives his son a brass badge with two animals engraved on it: a lion for bravery and a unicorn for courage. After Lenny is evacuated from his home in London to the countryside, he must gather his courage to deal with separation anxiety from his mother and the difficulties associated with living in an unfamiliar place. The book would be a good starting point for a discussion on how experiences differed for individuals/groups of evacuees. This is particularly poignant as this edition includes stories from real-life evacuees taken from the Imperial War Museums.
Some bits of the story were sad for me but I love the part where there was a living unicorn in it because I love unicorns
Interesting and about the war and evacuation
I don’t like this book because Lenny got separated by the war. At the end of the book I really liked it because Lenny

Lovely book. Talking to my daughter about this as the book explores the theme of Children moving from London to the Country during war time.
This was all about the war. Lenny us to be brave whilst his dad is in the army and mum is back in London
A really interesting book about evacuees
Very interesting
Now I have realised how hard it was to survive in ww2
This was a fictional book I liked to read. I liked it when he found the unicorn, but most of all when he saw his mum again as it made me happy.
I would recommend.
I enjoyed this book because it was fictional and fascinating but also contained some facts of WW2. I would recommend it to others.
It was a short but interesting book, i read it in a few hours abd really enjoyed it, would recommend for any age.
It was a good book but it was a bit too short. Mick was my favourite character because he was very kind to Lenny and gave very good advice.

Lenny and the Unicorn.
I would recommend this book.
A short but brilliant story based on a child's life when they were evacuated during WW2. It is a fiction book.
I love it but it's to long.
There is no more war now and no more rationed food. That's what this book is about. The boy was an evacuee. At the end he went with his mum to stay with his aunt.
This book helps people if they get teased at school and it tells a moral. If someone is mean to you, just ignore them.
I think others should read this book because this book is got to do with the second world war and may help you to understand more about the second world war.
this book is an good adventure book
Because the illustrations are beautiful and the story line is very emotional
