I thought this book was really emotional at the end. Hetty feather, who was 14 year old at the time, had a chance to finally leave the foundling hospital. However, she had only just found out that her mother, Ida, worked at the hospital. She was terribly upset to find out that her mother was sent away to work somewhere else. Hetty became a servant girl for somebody who liked writing just as much as Hetty did. Hetty was hoping that he might publish her memoirs one day, but she was had misunderstood that he had stolen them instead. She was really angry and created such a fit that he fired her. Hetty was forced to go somewhere else but didn't know where. She decided to visit her mother in Bignor, even though it would be an expensive journey. What will happen next? Read this book to find out! I would recommend this book to 9+
She had found her father but she doesn't feel right with his husband.

Great, love it!
AMAZING! Jacqueline Wilson has a nice chatty style of writing. I like this book because of the imagination put in to it! Hetty's gone to service. What trouble will she find waiting for here? READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!
I like this book because Hetty finds her mom and her real name
Hetty [Sapphire, the name her mama was going to call her] has left the Foundling Hospital to find herself as a servant to a writer named Mr Buchanan. Sarah and Mrs Briskett the other servants help her. But when Hetty is rude to Mr Buchanan he sends her packing. Hetty is going to find her mama Ida but she finds a horrible shock!
