Hetty Feather is a Foundling Hospital girl and was given her name when she was left there as a baby. When she is reunited with her mother, she hopes her beautiful new name, Sapphire Battersea, will also mean a new life. But things don’t always go as planned…

I loved it was very good and it was fiction personally I loved miss brisket the best i dont think it was very factual but every book tells you something. I would recommend it to people who love to write.
I didn’t really like this book I was one page till the end and I lost my page I just thought it was really sad about her mother that she got fired then sent away so sapphire was seperated from her mother very sad
Would you like to be a maid? No?Well this book is for you.
Sapphire Battersea ( formerly known as Hetty Feather) has just come out of the Foundling Hospital but she doesn't like her job!How will she respond to this?
Amazing
It's not bad it's just not my taste. As everyone knows every author has a unique talent, just not every one likes there specific talent. Good job, very interesting. 😄😄
Amazing book! It was a very interesting but sad story. I recommend this book for older readers.
It was a very interesting, moving story epecially when Hetty's mother passes away. It is very interesting to see how many Victorian children were treated at the time. It holds lots of information about the Victorians since it's set in the Victorian era. I found this book very heartfelt and understanding because Hetty was only around 14 years old when her mother passed away.
Great book
Having read 'Hetty Feather', I was excited to read this sequel.
Hetty is now 14 and begins work as a maid. It is interesting to observe how she copes with trials that many children suffer from (bullying, teasing) and how confusing she finds the big wide world. Hetty can be naive, but she is fundamentally a good child who aims to please.
The same cartoonish cover illustrations and black and white chapter heading illustrations can be found. I ead this book to a child who was pleased with the way the story seemed to wrap itself up neatly. As an adult reader, I found it less satisfying; it was too neat a finish. I don't think I'll be in a hurry to read 'Emerald Star', the final book in the trilogy.
About the book I chose to rate it a 3 star because at some parts I didn't want to carry on as I just didn't have the feeling to carry on.
My thoughts are about my favorite parts and my favorite parts is when Hetty writes her letters and reads her replies , my least favorite part is when Ida (her real mother)gets ill then dies.
I would like Masie the most.
It interested me because she and her sister are very lucky to have wonderful parents like me and my brother.
Why, I would recommend it if the reader has lots of mixed up feelings so they could understand it more.
I really enjoyed this book because she gets to see long lost people eventually including her mother. I would recommend this book to anybody who likes reading about children going off on their own on a train with strangers. And also it is set in the olden days where people give their children a good slap if they don't behave.
My favourite character is Bertie the Butcher's boy because I thought he was really cute when he went places with Hetty especially when Hetty got the coconut before him.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This book was good. I liked reading it. I liked Hetty / Sapphire the best. I would recommend it to someone else who likes adventure.
This is also one of my favourite books by Jacqueline Wilson I love reading her books!
Very fascinating
I love it
I really liked this book !my favourite character was probably Maisie
This was an amazing book! I really enjoyed reading this book and exploring Hetty's adventures as she got older and it was amazing how much she cared for her mum. I really liked how she travelled all around and how she was so brave! I would really recommend this book!
Amazing!!! Defo recommend
I just love it jacqueline wilson is doing a great job on her books!
I liked this book because even though Hetty Feather faces lots of issues in her life but she never gives up and do her best to enjoy the life. With all her efforts she finds her mother. She makes friends and she enjoys her time with the company of her friends. She was always listening to her master even though He was unkind to her a lot.
I would recommend this book because this books shows how we should fight back in our tough life and get through it.
I thought that this book was a marvellous book to get young kids into reading and older kids into believing that anything is possible. Sapphire Battersea ( Hetty Feather ) has lots of adventures and a very short temper that lands her in a lot of trouble including one that gets her dismissed from her position as a maid of all work. Also, this book fascinated me because there are a lot of mysteries that unfurl further in the book.
I liked Hetty the best because she has two sides to her life; one side: her carefree side, and the other: her resisting side.
I would recommend it to children in their fist year of a school e.g. they just moved schools and are nervous about making new freinds or, they just started secondary school and are nervous whether they would make any friends.
I really liked this book because Hetty reminds me of myself and I like that she’s willing to do anything to find her Mum.
Fantastic book about a foundling child's life after she leaves the hospital.
It is a bit sad, but has a bit of a mystery at the end.
It was an amazing book. It was sad when Hetty's mother dies. It is an incredibly moving story. I loved it.
Couldn't put this book down
It is an amazing book and I found it really hard to put down because it was so good. Lots happened in a short amount of time. It had loads of plots and unexpected turns but it us by far my favourite book. My favourite characters are Hetty because she is such a feisty brave personality and Bertie because he is such a sweet numerous person. I would definitely recommend it to everyone if they are interested in being left on a good chances.
Full of adventure Hetty Feather or should I say, Sapphire Battersea is now a maid of all work, when she used to be in the hospital. She just found her real mother. She loves writing her memoirs, and one day, her master, very famous writer, wouldn't give it back, She soon got fired and lived on he streets She has feeling for her foster bother Jem, but also goes out with Bertie, the Butchers boy. Absolutely amazing. But soon, Sapphire's mother gets a virus and dies. But she hears a voice in her head, You need to find your father!
I would recommend it, totally! Sapphire was the person I liked best, she was so curious, adventurous, the book was amazing!
I enjoyed this book thoroughly and could not put this book down. I recommend this book to the people who have not read it. My favourite character was Sapphire Battersea .
I would recommend it to people like jacqueline wilson's books and books set in the past.
