I like the monkeys. They are smart though they were in cage for so long. They came out with birds' help, but then use their ways to make Mr and Mrs Twists understand their feelings when being locked in a cage

This book is so gross and funny

It is a book about these cruel and nasty people who are very mean to animals and in the end they die somehow. Get the book to find out!

I like the monkeys and feel sad for them. I am happy they are freed at the end. I think the tricks that the Twits do to each other are funny.

I liked it when Mrs Twit fed mr Twit the worms instead of spaghetti!

Some of the language is hard to read but the story is very good. I liked it when the animals got their own back at the end

I think this is a wonderful book. It was very funny when Mr Twit and Mrs Twit do pranks on each other. Especially when Mr Twit said Mrs Twit is getting shorter. My favourite character is the monkeys when they put everything upside down. I would recommend it to 4 to 9.

I love the twits, especially the monkeys who glue everything to the ceiling so Mr Twit has to stand on his head!

I thought it was funny when they got stuck on the ceiling.

I loved this book because the Twits are ugly and they keep doing silly things to each other.

I thought it was really good because the Mugglewump family escaped and Mr and Mrs Twit got glue all over their heads and had to do handstands and their heads shrunk into their necks and their necks shrunk into their bodies and their bodies shrunk into their legs and their legs shrank into their feet

The twins were so mean and horrible , the animals gluing them to the ceiling was super funny

When they went upside down

I’d recommend The Twits to young readers who enjoy silly, disgusting and slightly dark humour. I enjoyed how ridiculous the characters are and the funny tricks they play on each other. The book made me think about how being cruel and unpleasant can make someone ugly on the inside as well as the outside. I also liked that the monkeys eventually outsmart the Twits and escape.
I would recommend it to children around 7–11, especially those who enjoy Roald Dahl’s other books. There are some content warnings, including cruelty towards animals, bullying, violence, disgusting food and lots of gross-out humour. These are all exaggerated for comedy, but some younger or more sensitive readers might find them unpleasant.
