Full of romance, drama and family relationships, this book certainly kept our reading group reading! If you are familiar with the Royal Family, you will almost instantly realise who the characters are based upon which makes it all the more addictive. We loved the jump in timelines between the present and Lexi's childhood and adolescence as she struggles with the weight of her responsibilities.
We found lots to discuss away from the Royal Family theme, including the weight of responsibility in an older sibling, social media expectation, fake news, and LGBTQ+ issues.
However, parts of the book read like Royal Family 'fan fic' which brought our score down to 3 out of 5.
