A page-turning, fast-paced, twisty murder mystery packed with epic reveals, red herrings and sharp, real, funny teen dialogue, perfect for fans of Robin Stevens and the Lizzie and Belle Mysteries, from the award-winning author of High-Rise Mystery and The Good Turn.
Last night Wesley and his friends Josephine and Margot threw their neighbour Rachel a surprise birthday party.
This morning, Rachel is dead.
And Wesley is the one who finds her body.

Brilliant characters and an intriguing plot! Love the interplay between the friends and the cultural references which are seamlessly woven into the storyline. Such a great read!
I have loved all of Sharna Jackson's books so far and this another great book! I love the three characters who we met in The Good Turn but you don't need to have read that to pick this up. I learnt lots about the practices of nine night and love that she educates on cultural differences without you realising. Highly recommended from 10+
A cracking read. Filled with twists, turns and numerous possibilities which kept me hooked until the end. I loved the relationship between the characters which felt very realistic. I can't wait to recommend this to our UKS2 children.
