Charles, a fellow survivor and an eccentric scholar, finds Sophie and brings her home to his London bachelor flat. Raised in a quirky home filled with music, words and love (though questionable diet), Sophie grows into a free-spirited tomboy with a taste for Shakespeare and the unshakeable belief that anything is possible.

This is an AMAIZING book! Sophie is my favourite character because she is a little bit like me!!!
I think that this book is very good for people that want to learn about life and experiences but I preference science fiction but this book was quite good and I think it deserves 4 stars it just wasn’t my kind of book I’m sure a lot of other people would love this book
Good! About a girl looking for her mother who got lost when her mothers ship sunk. Along the way she met a rooftopper and his friends. They all look for her mother. My favourite character was the two sisters who live in the trees. I recommend the book.
Rating - 3.75 I enjoyed this book because I think it was interesting and original. I liked the message and the music theme. My favourite character was Charles and it was enjoyable. The only thing I would improve is the middle was a bit off plot.
The book I read was an adventurous book and it was really interesting! I would absolutely recommend this to others! It's about a girl called Sophie who is trying to find her mum. The age rating for this would be 8 and over and I would CERTAINLY give it 100/100.
I really enjoyed this book because it was action packed. My favourite character was Sophie because she liked helping others and was very independent. I would recommend this book to people aged 8-12 because it is quite long. The only thing was that it had quite a lot of French but it then translated it. I really enjoyed it.
THE IS MY FAVE EVER BOOK!about a girl who climbs out of a skylight one day, when she is on the run and looking for her long lost mother along with Charles, the most kind, fun adult she knows , and meets a Roof Topper, an unexpected french boy. after a while she also meets two sisters and together, she and the three Roof Toppers fight a battle on the rooftops against the station boys, the vicious, wild boys who live atop the station roof. Suddenly, she hears a cello playing. Racing across the rooftops, she finally sees a woman playing it...
ROOFTOPPERS was written by Kathrine Rundell,my favorite author!
MUST READ
This book is an amazing book. Sophie was found after being on board the sunken ship "The Queen Mary" in a cello case. Sophie was sure her mother survived but no one else believed her. Will Sophie keep believing and find her mother?
This is an amazing book! It has lots of suspense and great vocabulary. I recommend this book for people about the age of 9+. This is an all-round great book!
This book was just so amazing;heartwarming, scary, funny, sad and dramatic in all the right places! A masterpiece.
inspirational
A sad and good book about a girl who thinks her mum is alive but her dad says she's dead . She really smart but the council deny it because she wears red jeans and white tops
It was a good and sad book loved it
This book was very imaginative, and at the end, really heart-warming. There are a couple of gruesome parts, but overall it was a really lovely book!
I originally chose this book because I have a good friend called Matteo, which is also the name of one of the main characters, so when I saw how vividly he was described in the story, I immediately fell in love with the plot. This is one of those books which can be truly enjoyed by anyone, because it reaches out to that little part of every one of us in which our dreams are beheld. It is realistic and yet magical at the same time, which I love in a story.
I read this book for the summer reading challenge and loved it because the story was really uplifting. I don't want to give away any spoilers in case you decide to read this book (which you should!)
This book was so good. I literally cannot find enough adjectives to describe how good it is, but here are a few: fabulous, heartwarming, amazing, the best book I've ever read. I definitely would recommend this to anyone. :D
Because it is really funny and it has good description of everything.
This book was very good
I love love love this plot!!!
I would rate this book a 3 because although it is very exciting it can also be boring at the same time!
It's an amazing and exiting book about a determined 10 year old girl (that's how old I think she is) who befriends a orphan on the rooftops of Paris .He helps her search for the thing she has never had...
i think that this book is great for people who like to read classic and quite dramatic books although u may think this is a book just for children u are wrong this is admired by most modest adults who love sad, dramatic breath taking books.
It was a really good book because it was so adventurus.
The descriptions were very detailed.
