My book group was keen to read ‘Everything Is Not Enough’ by Lola Akinmade Akerstrom, an ‘international bestselling author’. It is described as ‘brilliant’ and a ‘must-read’. The cover is bright and appealing and it does have excellent reviews everywhere. Unfortunately no one in my book group - Immaculate Conception Book Group, Southampton liked it. Read more...Read this novel with the group and we all found it had an interesting plot with strong characters. Lots of issues and themes are explored in the book and these generated good group discussions. We liked the contemporary setting and the element of realism in the story - that although the characters were strong each had flaws and weaknesses. There were a lot of characters and the characters are interlinked.
