I like this book because it’s set in the past and because it has people who are different in it. I think you would like this book if you are aged 9 to 12.

Although I stuck with the story, I didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped. (I had waited for the loan).
The story was good and plot was easy to follow. I am glad I stick with it but I wouldnt be in a rush to read it again.

I thought it was a great read. Especially liked the historical setting and the strong characters. The illustrations helped to bring the text to life too. Very enjoyable read and one I would have definitely enjoyed when I was young. It brought to life the characters struggles with their disabilities and how they were treated in Victorian times, but despite this they had the strength and resilience we would hope to instil in young people today. A mixture of old meets new. Plus a great "detective" type story.
