I liked it because it was another Ben Miller story and he is a good author.
Great, I loved it so much and the cleverness of it!
I liked it because it was about looking after all the creatures not just the cute and cuddly ones.
It is an adventurous, fun story. I liked it when Lana saves her brother Harrison at the end.
It’s a long read and I enjoyed it over the summer. I like it because it’s really adventurous.
I really enjoyed this book as there were so many twists and turns in each chapter.I loved how life in the hollow tree relates to life outside of it and how everyone she knew was a different mysterious character.I absolutely loved this book and couldn’t stop reading.
I liked the title of this story but it wasn’t as fun reading it as I thought it would be. The book could’ve been a bit more adventurous and exciting. It was ok to read I was just a bit disappointed.
I loved the way there were quick changes of emotions
I like how it appears to be a story in a story and makes you want to keep reading to find out what happens next.
I could not put the book down because
I wanted to find out what happened
I liked the adventure because I love Ben Miller books and I just thought to wake up on a morning to find a string on your finger and be able to turn into a spider.
I really liked the spiders.
One and a half stars for the illustrations and the animals, and a half star for the story. I'm being EXTREMELY generous!!
The best books I’ve read so far
Not quite as good as the book ‘The day I fell into a fairytale’ but still good. The spider queen is a bit scary.
It was a fiction and my favourite character was a girl who had a older brother Iwould recommend it
Very very good
Great for adventure lovers!
amazing little spiders
Favourite character was Lily, guardian of the flowers. Interesting story, happy ending.
This was a good book about all creatures are equally important even though you don’t like them. My favorite character is Elvis who is a really funny spider and decides to help the main character who is Lana from dying as she tries to save the other spiders.
I loved this book and I bet other people will enjoy it as well as I did
Interesting and the message was strong. Don't harm any animals however scary they look, or how small even for space for humans.
I recommend this book, especially the end where she gets a bracelet made out of spider silk.
All the way through, I have been enjoying this book. There has been lot's of twists and turns throughout the book. My favourite character has to be Lana because because she has shown me that even though that your characteristics can change. I would definitely recomend this book to others to share Ben Miller's creativity.
Couldn’t put it down. Was a story in a story.
I loved how this book ended and It has a great plot line too. I really recommend it.
Good, I will look for others from this author
Like spiders and magic? This book is for you!
As always, this Ben Miller book is a rich story of fantasy and adventure, and follows Lana and Harrison, staying with their grandparents, and a magical hollow tree. When people plan to cut it down, a professor wants to save a rare species of spider, the golden diving bell species. Harrison sides with the spiders, whilst Lana wants to have an adventure playground AND the hollow tree. Soon, Lana feels something tugged her finger in bed, and it takes her and her brother to a magical dimension, where a small village struggles to survive , and were a spider colony struggle too. Can Lana and her brother make peace between the two tribes, and get back home safely?
Although it is a good book, I feel it doesn't have the same thrill as the rest of the collection, bit it still is a great book!!!
I felt sorry for Lana when she wanted a adventure playground instead of saving the spiders
