The Blue-Footed Booby

It was fiction.
I liked the blue footed booby because at the end he heads home with a grin.
It interested me because the title was interesting.
I would recommend it to a friend.

Silly and fun this book as a great addition to any picture book collection.

Rod, the red footed booby's, frangipane tart has gone missing and he has to follow the clues to find out who has stolen it.

This mystery is solved but is all as it seems?

I would recommend it for Rob Biddulph fans and anyone who loves a little humour and mystery in their stories.

I like the ending with different coloured footprints

What a fun, delightful picture book this is! Brilliantly told in rhyme, it tells the story of a group of red-footed boobies who love to bake cakes, but when their delicious creations mysteriously disappear, they hunt for the thief in question. Their clue is a set of blue footprints, so it's time to 'follow the footprints and see where they go', with a surprise or two along the way! I love reading this with my nieces and nephews and we enjoy listening to the brilliant fun song that goes with it (see Rob Biddulph's YouTube video originally made for the Manchester Literary Festival). The illustrations are, as always, superb and incredibly joyous (you can learn how to draw the blue-footed booby through Rob Biddulph's amazing draw-along video). I'm looking forward to sharing this with my students when I go back to school, reading it out loud, drawing the characters and singing the song with them! I thoroughly recommend this absolute gem to everyone!
