This is one of my favourite books ever, so exciting and magical .
This book was so good I loved it so much!!! The main character has my name so it is super relatable and feels like I am in the world. It sort of links to racism and stuff like that. I especially enjoyed the twist at the end which I definitely didn't see coming!!! (It is linked to Brigit's family).
My top three best bits would have to be:
• When Ella starts at the Marvellers' Academy
•When the character Brigit is introduced and Ella makes friends with her
•The big twist at the end
Overall, I would say you should definitely read this book and after you will see why I rated it five stars!!
The Marvellers is suitable for children of the ages between 9 and 12 who love fantasy and a strong heroine. This book will have you gripped for hours!!
This book is full of fantasy and fiction with lots of twists and turns. Whilst it starts slowly it does build up with Ella who is the first conjuror at the Arcanum Training Institute. The Institute is a magic school in the clouds which accepts pupils from around the world. Ella is a great character who discovers that being the first is not easy but she soon makes friends with Brigit and Jason. Ella is targeted by an escapee from a prison. Characters disappear and Ella has to save her family name. Its the first book in the series so expect more from this author. I would say def year 5 and above (maybe 6)
It was one of the best books I have read!
