I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is fast-paced, an easy read for when you want to be involved and guessing but not have to think too hard. Characters are engaging and the setting adds to the atmosphere and intrigue of the plot. The twists and turns keep the reader guessing and invested in the quest to find the final outcome. I’d recommend this book for any mystery loving reader.
I enjoyed this book. It's an ideal book to read whilst relaxing on your holiday. I found it easy to visualise the characters and the settings in the nightclub and on the cruise ship. It would make a stylish adaptation for television.
An enjoyable read overall.
A well constructed plot with enough twists and turns to keep the reader interested.
The author uses just the right amount of description to capture your imagination of the time and places.
I would definitely recommend this book. However with a warning don't read before going on a cruise.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading - wanted to get to the end as quickly as possible to find out whodunnit!
Had my suspicions about two thirds of the way through and was proved right but didn't quite get the full picture till the end! Would definitely recommend.
The decadent Jazz Age is beautifully recreated in this intriguing who-done-it. I could imagine this story as a 1930’s movie in black and white with soft focus. The class distinction between the characters is sharply focused though, and it seemed to ask the question - does class, money and the power that it brings, allow you get away with murder?
The plot will have you guessing right to the end. I couldn’t read the last 100 pages fast enough. This is a well-crafted thriller that was a joy to read. Highly recommended.
