The Daughter of Auschwitz: This is a powerful memoir by one of the youngest survivors of Auschwitz, Tova Friedman. Tova was only four years old when she was sent from the ghetto to a Nazi labour camp with her parents at the start of World War II, and then to Auschwitz. This is a harrowing and poignant tale of the horrors endured by Tova; seeing her friends and family murdered, surviving brutal conditions at the labour camp, and the unthinkable at Auschwitz. Tova chronicles the atrocities she witnessed and endured in this moving story, but we also feel her indomitable spirit, resilience and hope. Strongly recommended.
