Love this book. Hard to read about domestic violence but hopefully this story will encourage those who are, to brake the cycle for there children.

This book took me on a whirlwind of emotions, from laughing out loud to sobbing on my own quietly in bed, each time trying to not wake up my sleeping partner. The relationship unfolded beautifully and I became totally invested in the characters' lives.

I really enjoyed this book. Colleen hoover is a great author, who shows deeply emotional situations in their true form. The storyline is gripping, and the characters have so much depth making the reader want to learn more. Truly recommend this book, read it when I got into reading and never regretted it.

I completed this book just over 48hrs - an absolute worldie! It is golden in many ways and I am now Hoover's biggest fan. The detail in her characterisation is beautiful. The plot of the story is more than your average rom-com. It's quite fast-paced and switches perspective which allows a reader to immerse themselves in the world of these lovers! If you do one thing in 2022, make it be - read this book!

This book was recommended to me by a number of year 8 and year 9 female students. It was definitely an eye opener into the adult-level books they are choosing to read.

The book aims to educate about domestic and sexual violence through fiction.

It's not my usual genre of book, but my students absolutely love it and it has promoted a love for Colleen Hoover.

This is a spoiler free review:
I finished this book in two days. It sounds like a cliché, but I could not put this book down.
“It Ends with Us”, is an incredibly powerful read, which ignites all of your emotions, and even makes you question your own views on topics such as Domestic Violence and Homelessness.
I loved this book, because it really got me thinking about what I would do in the main characters (Lily’s) situation. I began this book with the same (what I feel) judgemental views on women who stay in abusive relationships, but began to understand as to WHY they stay. I feel that as readers, we embark on the emotional journey of Lily.
I also really felt the love between the characters, and found myself wishing the book to end differently, however, I appreciated the incredibly difficult situation that was being imposed, and admired the strength of Lily’s ultimate decision.
This book brought me to tears, and made me laugh, alongside with every other emotion in between.
My favourite quotes included:
“Be Brave. Be Bold”
“There is no such thing as bad people. We are all just people who do bad things”.
Which I feel is truly at the crux of our human existence, and also allows us, as a reader, to appreciate why people react the way they do, and how we can learn from past mistakes and break cycle patterns.
