I liked this book because I liked it when they found the sand fairy. I liked Cyril (or squirrel-his nickname). I loved it most when they wished for lots of money then they got arrested by the cops! Luckily the sand-fairy said that the money disappeared at sunset. Plus, the servants couldn't see any of their wishes because the psammead promised them they could not. I was sad when they didn't see the sand fairy again.
The sand-fairy was really cool because it grants wishes every day!
I liked this book. My favourite character was Anthea as she was very selfless and wished for things that would make all of her siblings happy as oppose to herself
I thought this was really funny. The children wished for bizarre things and the part where they had to eat invisible food was funny!
I thought this book was very humorous and meaningful.
I like the Sand Fairy because it granted 3 wishes and taught us all a lesson:
If you wish for something you don't mean, you might just get it!
I liked this book because it was fantasy mixed with a bit of real life mixed into it. It is a classic book but I enjoyed it! The only reason that it is 4 stars instead of 5 is because some parts of the plot I didn’t understand. Other than that, it’s a great story!
I liked the book but it wasn’t my favourite. I think that the magic was fun but a bit scary too. I also thought that the Psammead was really moody! At the beginning of the book, I thought it was really boring and it didn’t make much sense but towards the end it was a bit more interesting. I would recommend this book to somebody who likes old classics and old fashioned stories.
5 children find a creature in the sand called ‘It’. A great book!
I remember seeing this on television as a child and loved it. I always wanted to find a sand fairy.
The book was as good as I remember the series to be and hadn't really aged that much. Reminded me of my childhood and playing pretend games with my friends.
It's really good and funny. People should read it if they like genie wishes.
I liked how the wishes always go wrong
I liked this book but it was a bit old fashioned
Robert,Cyril,Anthea and Jane are in for a treat when they find the Sand-Fairy,also know as Psammead,on one of their trips to the Chalk-quarry and are given the chance to wish themselves into happiness. But will they be able to see the Psammead ever again?(SPOILER:They do in the Story of the Amulet!)
It was one of the best books I have ever read it was funny and magical. When you stop reading you just wanted to keep reading. It had lots of twist, turns and cliff hangers that you wouldn’t except. I definitely recommend.
I liked the Psammead
I liked that this was a classic and I could compae this to the most recent sequel. However, because it was first published in 1902, the language used reflected that time, so was sometimes harder to understand or does not reflect meaning that would be used for words now. This was a good tool for discussing the words used though, and for understanding the more disused language.
I read this book because it was by the same author as The Railway Children.
This book was good, quite exciting. It is about five children who find a creature in the sand near their house. The creature grants them one wish every day.
I would recommend it to people who like fantasy.
Interesting and nice.
My favourite character was the sand-fairy.
It interested me because it had lots of adventures and interesting characters.
I recommend it to people because its cool and describes the people and other things well.
It was a good book. The most funny thing is that the children always wish for things that they think are right, but then turn out that they definetly aren't.
cool
This was a good audiobook. I liked it when the children made a wish that they could meet the Native Americans. I chatted it about it with my mum - she remembers it from when she was a child.
I love this book because it is full of mythical things and so many adventures! Five children meet a sand fairy who grants them five wishes each but at the end they all wish they never found the sand fairy. I recommend this book for people who like adventures. Someday wishes will come true!
This is a funny book because I enjoyed hearing about the adventures of the five children: Robert,Anthea,Cyril,Jane and the Lamb.My favourite character is the Psammead because he tries so hard to give them their wish and when he grants it to the children, it all goes wrong... I would recommend this book to anyone who likes funny books.
I enjoyed five children and It because it is very funny. My favourite character is It because he makes lots of accidental jokes. I would recommend this book to children who have a good sense of humour.
i didnt much like this book to start with but when it got closer to the end i liked it a bit more. i liked this book bets when the five wished for a castle and they fought the knites that came with wish. i would recomeend this book to people you ikes funny things because then i think you would defineltly rate it 5
I really liked this but its old fashioned
I enjoyed the wishes and the sand fairy. I wasn't happy that it was part of a series, I don't have the next book.
This book is very interesting. I really enjoyed these mini stories! The kids were hilarious!
I like that it is set in olden days and the way the magical creature was described.
Listened to this one and loved it!
