Firstly, I would like to thank Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book.
The story of Lexi’s hen do on a lovely Greek Island. All the girls attending have some connection to the bride. Each character tells their own story, and it transpires that not only do they have a connection to the bride, but also to each other in different ways.
You know there will be a some sort of tragedy but you have no idea what is going to happen, or who it’s going to happen to. It makes for an exciting read.
I really enjoyed getting to know each of the girls stories in this fiction story. Uplifting but also each character had their own morale to the story and own personalities that all came together for this hen do. It was interesting how the personalities mixed and how the story developed. It interested me to begin with because I wanted some books to read whilst I was in Greece and this was set there so that's why I initially downloaded it but well worth a read.
A slightly harsh rating - but it's because it had too happy an ending, for me. And that's because it is a holiday read. And perhaps a conflicting and unsettling finish is not desired when trying to relax on holiday.
It's an interesting genre - a 'who's going to do it and why?' which casts the reader in an interesting position, trying to second guess from the start.
I did enjoy the process of the read, but the ending was disappointing.
