A joy to read aloud’ Sunday Times Children’s Book of the Week Perfect for all readers from 7 to 70, Einstein the Penguin introduces an unforgettable new character in a future-classic and fantastically funny debut for all the family to enjoy. Get ready to welcome the most extraordinary penguin into your own home… When the Stewarts spend a sunny, frosty December day at London Zoo, they’re enchanted by one small penguin. At the delight of young Imogen and Arthur, Mrs Stewart insists the penguin “must come and stay with them whenever he likes.” But not one Stewart expects the penguin to turn up at their door that evening, rucksack labelled “Einstein” on his back… The family’s new feathered friend helps Arthur to come out of his shell and makes massive demands on Imogen’s amateur sleuthing. But together they must find out why Einstein came to them and they must keep away from the mysterious white-coat man. And Einstein can’t stay forever, can he…? From stunning new writing talent Iona Rangeley, and illustrated with wit and brio by the award-winning David Tazzyman, this is a book that will be treasured for years to come. TweetReviews
I really like cute Einstein the penguin and the idea of how he came with a backpack and he has a cute friend called Isaac. I think Imogen is a bit like me.
Lots of fun. Perhaps I'll read the sequels now...
Einstien is a great character because he squarks and walks around on his webbed feet. I think it is funny.
Einstien the penguin finds a new home.
I loved this book. It was so much fun to read about Imogen and Arthur’s adventure. I loved Einstein!
Lovely warming story. Good class read for years 2-3
I rated it 5 stars because it was funny, adventurous, and just amazing. I definitely recommend this book.
I loved this book - mummy bought me the second book because I love penguins so much.
Einstein the penguin was the first book Iona Rangeley and was illustrated by David Tazzyman. The main characters are 2 children called Imogen, Authur and Einstein the penguin. The story starts on a snowy day when the two children were bored. they decided to go tho the zoo but there was one penguin when they got there seemed quite to take an interest in one of the children and to the children's surprise this penguin comes to stay. The story is funny at the beginning but it get more serious and at the end it was sad. Overall the book was an excellent read! The book was full of twists and turns so thats why i rate it 5 stars. If you have liked this book review i recommend the sequel. Any 8 year olds would be hooked to this book and would find it hard to put it down!
I’ve had this book on my to read list for ages. Don’t know why I left it for so long, it’s a delightful book. I loved the gentle humour and the illustrations are just right…would have liked some more now and again… Better get hold of book 2 now 🐧
This was a little too easy to read for me and the illustrations were a little crazy.
This book is about two children called Imogen and Arthur who find a penguin on their doorstep and it wants them to help him find his long lost friend. I like this story because it is full of excitement.

looking for a friend penguins
Animal style. A bit of a quest. I liked Einstein the best because he was funny.
This was an awesome book. The people in the book are friendly to the penguin.
I thought that it was a heart warming book and I found it lovely to read.
I Liked Einstein because he was a very funny penguin.
Yes I would recommend it to someone.
‘Einstein The Penguin’ is a fun book about friendship. Two children help Einstein to find his penguin friend and get into lots of adventures on the way. Perfect if you like Paddington Bear stories.
A good book and I would recommend it for others to read. It is very funny and it's really off because a penguin comes to stay (and he is really naughty too.)
It's great book about a penguin that is smart .it's a great read I highly recommend. It's really funny to
It was funny. My favourite part was when Einstein slapped the detective in the face and they tied him up. My favourite character was Einstein. I would recommend this book.
This book was a bit weird. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone over the age of seven.
An appealing if mediocre romp. I had hoped for such more - a modern day Paddington rather than a variation on boy + girl + missing * family member quest. It is difficult to know what age group this is targeted at - I would have expected the readership to become seven and eight year olds but vocabulary such as penchant, pertinent and trepidatious is a bit wide of the mark. Children will enjoy it though!
