An easy read, likeable and sparky main character. Loved the imaginary world made of iron and the girl’s relationship with her grandpas. I would definitely recommend to others, especially year 2/3.
My second Vashti book and I really enjoyed it.
Harley lives with her two grandads, in a world where spare machinery parts grow in the Iron Forest. It’s a book about resilience, friendship and doing the right thing.
I’d recommend this for year 3 and 4.
Looking forward to more books about Harley.
Beautifully written story about a girl who is always getting into ‘trouble’. She’s inquisitive, daring, kind and just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time! If an accident is going to happen, it happens to Harley!
A non-fiction story and I know who I am going to recommend it to in August when I meet my new class
