The last in a trilogy of DCI Ryan books by LJ Ross with a pagan group at the source of a series of murders over a long period of time. Heavenfield is a bleak place with an isolated church. DCI Ryan is found with the body of a man he knows well and the evidence points to him being the murderer. His loyal team pursue every possibility in the hope of proving his innocence. However there are forces at work very close to home who will stop at nothing to hide their identities. Easy to read and hard to put down. This trilogy has great settings which add to the whole atmosphere of the pagan group versus police and well built characters you really invest in.
