I love horses and this book is really good.

I like it because Sophies pony Gorse is very mischievous and funny because he broke out of his stables

Entertaining story with rich attention to detail. It has a pleasingly spooky side, without the possibility of frightening any sensitive children, and an educational side in teaching about horse-riding - particularly in the form of livery, schooling, hacking and eventing disciplines - as a modern-day sport. The human characters are a little 2D in comparison to the horse ones, but perhaps that's how it should be in such a series!
