Beautifully written enhanced by some great line drawings. Daunting at first trying to remember all the names; who is related to who; and gods/goddesses versus mortals, but with a bit of perseverance it soon comes together. The theme of weaving tapestries to tell the stories is an innovative approach and works well. Also love the links to modern etymology and the words we still use today. Above all the focus on the life and experience of women which shows that whilst there is a lot that is still the same today, there will always be strong women and great role models (often best not to get on the wrong side of them however!)
